The Karnataka International Film Festival (KIFF) is an annual film festival held in Hubballi-Dharwad, the cultural headquarters of North Karnataka. Organized by Nava Karnataka Film Academy, the festival showcases films of all genres, including documentaries from around the world, providing a platform for emerging and established filmmakers alike.

The 1st KIFF took place from 8th to 10th December 2022, featuring over 40 films and was supported by the Government of Karnataka. The 2nd KIFF – 2022 followed on the same dates, screening more than 186 films, with several receiving awards. The festival saw significant growth and international participation.

The 3rd KIFF – 2023 was held on 23rd and 24th December 2023, with over 145 film submissions, continuing the tradition of recognizing excellence in filmmaking across cultures.

Looking ahead, the 4th KIFF – 2024 is scheduled for 14th and 15th December 2024. This edition aims to transcend the boundaries of cinematic artistry, while continuing to celebrate diverse voices and global narratives.

Building on this momentum, the upcoming 5th Karnataka International Film Festival – 2025 will be jointly presented by Nava Karnataka Film Academy and the Universal Film Makers Council. It will take place on 27th and 28th December 2025 (Saturday and Sunday) in Dharwad-Hubballi, Karnataka, India.
